So, see, I said it would be up by the weekend, but I didn't specify which weekend so, um, yeah. ^^;

This chapter over all ... eh. Not ecstatic about it, but it did need to be written and right now I'm more in the mood of 'get it done so it's done' than anything else. Once it's finished then I can go back and mess with it. Yes indeedy.

Title: House of Leaves, Part 1: a Semblance of Steel

Rating: PG-R

Warnings: Spoilers upto chapter 244, and then it travels to AU country, baby. Also, there is creepiness and violence (though not necessarily in that order, or, you know, right now).

Summary: The mission to retrieve Sasuke goes horribly, horribly right. )

So, it would seem that I do all my updating during some ungodly hour of the morning. Good, good to know. I need to have viciously unnatural sleeping habits because I'm just not odd enough as it is.

But enough of this! On with the Fic-babble.

Hot off the presses, chapter 3 for your enjoyment. With this one out, I may think about putting this up on ff.net because, well, now there is sort of plot, or at least the pretense of one.

Well then. I'm feeling (sort of) pleased with myself. Usually, I flake out and abandon an idea, even if it's a good idea, before I even start. But in this case I already have [counts on fingers] three--count that--three parts of my thirty-chapter epic (so totally, not) done.

Inner!Esmee: Well, technically, it's really only two parts, because one of them was the preface--which you crapped out on.

Outer!Esmee: Shut up.

Inner!Esmee: You know I'm right. Which means you still have twenty-eight more chapters to write plus the epilogue.

Outer!Esmee: I hate you.

Yeah. I've already gotten this much written. Working on Chapter 2 and getting surprisingly far. Um. If it seems a little disjointed, please bare with, 'k?

Rating: PG-R

Warnings: Right up to and though chapter 244, except not, as all shall see.

Edit 02.01.05: Due to peer-pressure (so not) have changed/correct the Sannin/Sennin issue.

Um yeah.

Trying my hand at a Chaptered Naruto story, fic, thingy ...

o_O Have a feeling will be reconstructing this thing from the ground up, so only on LJ until I figure out what exactly will happen. The good news is (kinda) that I have the chapters lain out so I sort of know what's going to happen, but I have discovered that I am more of a concept writer than a story writer; and plot? What frigging plot? Character driven all the way, baby.

Except, not.

Title: House of Leaves

Rating: PG-R (-ish. Always with the 'ish,' what is it with me?)

Disclaimer: Nothing, nothing; I have nothing.

Warnings: Spoilers upto chapter 244, only with differences. The prologue is styled after the opening in the wonderful Fall on your Knees by Ann-Marie MacDonald so keep that in mind while reading and going, what the hell? Um, also, while this part doesn't get into it, there will be creepiness and violence in abundance later on.

Summary: The mission to retrieve Sasuke goes horribly, horribly right. )

I had to cut this great bugger in half to post it.

Oh well.

Happy New Years!

Title: Sotto Voce

Rate: R, for language. Ooooo. And a bit of violence.

Fandom: Third Watch.

Foreword: Uh, pure Season 3 tripe. Granted it's angsty and I tried to get some UST going but ... Anyway, post ‘Sex, Lies & Videotape' Bosco character study; ‘He said/she said’ references. Also, PWP, which in this case is, point? What point?

I lied like a rug.

I said that I was working on Naruto.

Uh, no. I ended up rewriting an older story that I was kinda okay with, when it was first done about 2 (3? Maybe?) years ago, and now ... No. Just, no. The kick in the pants is, it was originally only about 5,000 words and now it's ... substantially longer. Still not 100% happy with it, but I never am. Maybe now I can focus on some of my Naruto stuff, or maybe FFX ...

Naruto drabble with definte Kakashi/Sakura undertones.

Man, the juices just keep flowing. There might even be a chapter fic in the works.

Drabble: 140 words-ish.

Growing older is not really just growing up, but also starting to be able to see more shades of grey )

So within the last month I took a stress leave from work, starting thinking seriously about going to Italy, had my hard drive crash and lose all of my writing, within a period of about 72hours written a completely new piece (about 7500+) and bought the new Modest Mouse CD (which was inspiration for about 90% of the fic).

My this has been an eventful month.

Good thing the only event happening in October is my 21 birthday.

Title: Bell Jars
Fandom: Naruto
Rating: R-ish (to be safe)
Pairings: None, really, but slight Kakashi/Sakura in some bits. Well, more than slight. It's debatable.
Summary:

At twelve she cuts her hair. At thirty-five it's long again. But there is a long way between twelve and thirty-five )

Edit 10/02/04: Fic has now been posted at FF.net. Huzzah?
hibiscustea: (Default)
Yay! I finished it.

For the moment.

'Cause I have a habit of revising stories at least three or four times after I finish them. So we'll call this version 1.0.

Title: Psalms of Lovers: Epilogue
Characters: Buruma, Gokou, Gohan, Trunks
Rating: R-ish
Summary:
The sky should break, she thinks. It should twist and crack and split open like a too-ripe plum because the end of the world has already come and gone and it shouldn't still be standing. )

I just bought Bleach Vol 2, and my god. I absolutely love this manga; everyone needs to read it.

On another note, here's the second part of Psalms of Lovers.

Title: Psalms of Lovers: Part II
Characters: Buruma, Gokou, Gohan, Trunks
Rating: R-ish
Summary:
When she wakes up and finds him curled around her in her--in their--bed, she thinks that she may have a problem with younger men. )
hibiscustea: (Default)
I'm just a little PO'd because I just finished a story, and FF.net is being a bitch and screwing up the formatting.

So ... I'm going to break the thing down into 3 parts (because it's 11,000+ words at the moment) and try posting it via LJ. Hopefully this'll work out like I want it to.

So, without further ado--

Title: Psalms of Lovers: Part I
Characters: Buruma, Gokou, Gohan, Trunks
Rating: R-ish

She will never love any other person quite the way she loves him and that kills her. )

I posted a story, that I was--personally--fairly happy with. Not that that meant I was going to leave it alone: god knows I usually fiddle with all my stories for months, tweaking them until I'm satisfied with the result. But, for some reason, I seemed to be the only person who liked.

Oh well. Can't please everyone.

But what I did want to do was cover some of the misconceptions that where addressed to me regarding the story. Plus, I can never pass up the chance to talk about things I like.

1. Jecht the Bastard )

2. Auron )

3. Choppy is for the ocean! )
hibiscustea: (Default)
I wish all men could be fictional. I mean, it would be so much easier if they were.

But that's beside the point.

I just finished a ficlet! Yes, after months of inactivity I finally got off my tush and wrote something, finished it, and posted it. Go me.

Plus, it revolves around one of my favorite fictional men, Auron from Final Fantasy X (Hail the Thief). Well, not really about him, but it involves him which is good enough for me.

I'm sick. And cold. And achey. I'm going to bed now.
