How very interesting. Not much to note, except am messing around with my LJ (again). Rather like it at the moment.

On another note, may possibly, hopefully justfriggingmaybe going to an Anthropology lecture in Van with Kylie as a pseudo-celebratory event to commemorate our FoxFest trip (to the day which is kinda odd considering this is pretty much a last minute thing and we may not even be going but oh well).

As an aside: the funniest thing is I'm really looking forward to it. The more I hang out with Kylie and the more she tells me about her major (Anthropology) the more I think to myself, hey, yeah, that makes sense, that's so bloody neat and consider re-evaluating Art History major for something along those lines. [Ends aside.]

Feeling sort of claustrophobic. Want to get outta the house, but no where to go and no money to take me there. Damn. Still looking for job, preferably part time, but--you know--at the moment anytime would be good for me. Still haven't finished reading Mirror, Mirror by whatshisname Maguire. Now more than three months over due.

Nice.

Ooo--working on HoL (aka House of Leaves), and getting a teenytiny bit stuck because trying to add the last subplot. Hard to get started. As a reminder of what the plots are (or in this case will be), we have the whole Team 7/Sasuke-is-insane/Naruto-pulling-deusexmachina-just-cause-I-can, then the Shikamaru/Hidden Sand thing going on, and finally we'll have a House of theveryspectacularlyemotionallyfuckedup Hyuoga sub plot thingy. Don't ask. But it is progressing. Just very, very, very slowly.

So, see, I said it would be up by the weekend, but I didn't specify which weekend so, um, yeah. ^^;

This chapter over all ... eh. Not ecstatic about it, but it did need to be written and right now I'm more in the mood of 'get it done so it's done' than anything else. Once it's finished then I can go back and mess with it. Yes indeedy.

Title: House of Leaves, Part 1: a Semblance of Steel

Rating: PG-R

Warnings: Spoilers upto chapter 244, and then it travels to AU country, baby. Also, there is creepiness and violence (though not necessarily in that order, or, you know, right now).

Summary: The mission to retrieve Sasuke goes horribly, horribly right. )

So, it would seem that I do all my updating during some ungodly hour of the morning. Good, good to know. I need to have viciously unnatural sleeping habits because I'm just not odd enough as it is.

But enough of this! On with the Fic-babble.

Hot off the presses, chapter 3 for your enjoyment. With this one out, I may think about putting this up on ff.net because, well, now there is sort of plot, or at least the pretense of one.

Well then. I'm feeling (sort of) pleased with myself. Usually, I flake out and abandon an idea, even if it's a good idea, before I even start. But in this case I already have [counts on fingers] three--count that--three parts of my thirty-chapter epic (so totally, not) done.

Inner!Esmee: Well, technically, it's really only two parts, because one of them was the preface--which you crapped out on.

Outer!Esmee: Shut up.

Inner!Esmee: You know I'm right. Which means you still have twenty-eight more chapters to write plus the epilogue.

Outer!Esmee: I hate you.

Yeah. I've already gotten this much written. Working on Chapter 2 and getting surprisingly far. Um. If it seems a little disjointed, please bare with, 'k?

Rating: PG-R

Warnings: Right up to and though chapter 244, except not, as all shall see.

Edit 02.01.05: Due to peer-pressure (so not) have changed/correct the Sannin/Sennin issue.

Um yeah.

Trying my hand at a Chaptered Naruto story, fic, thingy ...

o_O Have a feeling will be reconstructing this thing from the ground up, so only on LJ until I figure out what exactly will happen. The good news is (kinda) that I have the chapters lain out so I sort of know what's going to happen, but I have discovered that I am more of a concept writer than a story writer; and plot? What frigging plot? Character driven all the way, baby.

Except, not.

Title: House of Leaves

Rating: PG-R (-ish. Always with the 'ish,' what is it with me?)

Disclaimer: Nothing, nothing; I have nothing.

Warnings: Spoilers upto chapter 244, only with differences. The prologue is styled after the opening in the wonderful Fall on your Knees by Ann-Marie MacDonald so keep that in mind while reading and going, what the hell? Um, also, while this part doesn't get into it, there will be creepiness and violence in abundance later on.

Summary: The mission to retrieve Sasuke goes horribly, horribly right. )
